Grade 12 Celebration — Parking Recommendations

Bay Area Families, San Jose (SJC) or San Francisco (SFO) Airport Travelers

For Bay Area families and travelers from San Jose (SJC) or San Francisco (SFO) airports this weekend, anticipate heavy traffic on Highway 101 southbound at CA-156. To avoid delays, consider adding extra travel time or exploring alternative routes, such as the route from US-101 to CA-17 to HWY-1 in Santa Cruz. Another option is to head south on 101 to John Street in Salinas and then to SR-68 into Monterey.
Check CHP or KSBW for the most up to date traffic information.

If you are joining us for Graduation, we want to ensure that every aspect of your visit is seamless, including parking and transportation arrangements.

In light of the installation of temporary classrooms on Wilson Field to support the construction of the new Math, Science, and Engineering Center, we kindly request that you and your guests adhere to the following parking and transportation guidelines:

  • All graduation attendees are asked to park at the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center. We have retained the services of Pebble Beach Resorts to provide round trip shuttle service from the Equestrian Center to Douglas Hall. The first shuttle will depart the Equestrian Center promptly at 1:00 p.m. and run continuously throughout the afternoon. The last shuttle for the evening will depart Douglas Hall at 7:00 p.m. Please keep an eye out for staff members and signage positioned along the designated route between the school and the Equestrian Center to assist with directions.
  • Douglas Circle will be open for guest drop-offs at 1:00 p.m.; however, it will close to all vehicular traffic at approximately 2:45 p.m. to accommodate the procession of the senior class. It will reopen at approximately 3:15 p.m.
  • Disabled person parking will be provided in Douglas Circle for individuals with a valid placard. Due to limited space, we encourage early arrival to ensure accommodation.
  • Immediate family members of senior resident students are offered the option to park on a designated section of Wilson Field and in the Treasure Island parking lot to assist with the move-out process. The parking lots will be accessible from 10am onwards and entry will be from Faculty Drive. We kindly request drivers to follow the directions provided by our staff members to ensure sufficient space for all.
  • Faculty, staff, and FLIK employees are encouraged to seek out parking at the upper athletic fields, tennis court overflow lot, along Forest Lake Road, and on Bristol Curve.
